5 TIPS ON IMPROVING YOUR ONLINE REPUTATION

Posted: 3rd Feb 2016 by IMAGE 1ST PHOTOSHOOTS IN LONDON

Your brand can take years to build, you can't afford to make mistakes. Adopting the right attitude towards how you promote yourself online will ultimately contribute to your success.

SIMPLE WAYS TO IMPROVE YOUR REPUTATION. MY TOP 5 TIPS.

1. CUSTOMER REVIEWS
What are your customers saying about you? Encourage them to write reviews for you on Google +, Facebook and LinkedIn. Your competitors might be faking their reviews, the value you get from social media is that you can't fake it, testimonials hold more weight when they come direct from your customers.

2. YOUR PROFILE PICTURE
Someone at some point will be seeking to to business with you via the internet. If you're not looking your best then don't forget these words, "It only takes 3 seconds to make a great first impression." Your team page and profile in Google searches is constantly being monitored by potential new clients, they want to do business with people that they can trust, do not underestimate the positive impact a professional corporate headshot can have on your business.

3. YOUR WEBSITE AND SOCIAL MEDIA
Create a user friendly website, your customers will really appreciate clear communication, make it easy to find your contact details and respond to any fresh enquiries within 30 minutes. Sign up to relevant social media and interact with your customers, don't get lazy, people will lose interest with you if you're not keeping your social media updated.

4. PRESS
Every business owner has a story to tell. Get your story featured in national newspapers and ask influential bloggers to write about you. The more people that write about you in a positive manner, the more your reputation shines.

5. TURN A NEGATIVE INTO A POSITIVE
Do not panic if you stumble across a negative review. If the complaint is legitimate then make sure you solve it with honesty. A negative review is actually doing you a favour, you now have a great opportunity to improve your service. Letting the reviewer know that they've contributed to new changes will regain their support for you and your company.
