REFUNDS & BOOKINGS

You may request a refund within 7 days of your online purchase, provided payment has cleared. After this period, purchases are non-refundable.

All online purchases (including gifts) are valid for 3 months from the date of purchase. If a booking is not made within this time, the purchase will expire.

Bookings made within 7 days of the session date are non-refundable. For example, if you book on Monday for a session later that week or the following Monday and are unable to attend, we’re unable to offer a refund due to the short notice.

Once a photoshoot has taken place, refunds or price reductions cannot be offered for completed photography or retouching work that meets a reasonable professional standard.

If you have any concerns during your session, please let us know straight away — we’re always happy to help on the day. Once you’ve left the studio, the service and images are considered accepted. As photography is subjective, we’re unable to offer refunds based on personal preference.

REARRANGING A PRE-BOOKED SESSION

If you need to reschedule your session, we require at least 72 hours’ notice (3 full days).

You may reschedule once at no charge. Any additional reschedule will incur a £50 rescheduling fee, which can be applied once via this link:

If a session is rescheduled beyond this allowance, the original payment will be forfeited and the full cost of the package will need to be paid again to secure a new booking.

If you’re eligible to reschedule but need some time to confirm a new date, we’re happy to place your package on hold for up to 3 months. If a new date is not confirmed within this period, the booking will expire and a new booking will be required.

LATENESS OR NO-SHOW

We run on a carefully planned schedule, so we kindly ask that you arrive at least 5 minutes before your appointment time. Arriving late may reduce the time available for your session, and we may not be able to extend it.

If you do not attend your appointment without notice (a no-show), the booking fee will be forfeited. A new booking and full payment will be required to reschedule.

LOST PROPERTY

Please make sure you leave with everything you arrived with. IMG 1ST LIMITED will not be liable for any items left behind. Items left for over 7 days at the studio will be donated to charity.

THE 10% RULE

We capture plenty of images during your session so that you end up with at least 10% of them as truly exceptional shots.
Taking more photos helps you relax and gain confidence, resulting in better poses and more iconic images. The more you enjoy the experience, the stronger and more natural your final images will be.

HAIR & MAKE UP

If your package does NOT include hair & make-up:
Please arrive camera-ready. Our schedule is tight, so we can only provide up to 5 minutes for quick touch-ups before your shoot.

If your package INCLUDES full hair & make-up (1 look/style, unless additional looks have been purchased):

Arrive with clean, dry hair and minimal or no make-up.

We provide up to 1 hour of professional hair & make-up for all hair types and skin tones.

Consider a salon visit beforehand if you need root touch-ups or colour corrections.

We only dry-style hair for the shoot (wavy, curly, or straight). We do not offer cuts, colouring, or full blow-dries.

Planning to use hair extensions or a very specific style? We recommend having them prepared before your session.

5 MINUTE SKIN DE-SHINE AND HAIR TIDY:

If this service is included in your shoot, please arrive looking your best. You’ll have 5 minutes with our professional hair & make-up artist to de-shine your skin and tidy your hair, ensuring you look camera-ready for your session.

GENERAL INFORMATION:

Professional-looking nails can make a subtle but noticeable difference in your images. We recommend that both men and women visit a nail salon before their session. For headshots only, this is less essential, but it can still enhance your overall look.

AIRBRUSHING

For packages that include free airbrushing, you have 3 months from your shoot date to select the images you’d like retouched. After this period, the complimentary service can no longer be provided.

Please allow 10–15 full working days for retouching to be completed, unless otherwise stated.

Enhancing sharpness

Removing yellow stains from teeth

For more advanced digital edits—such as digital nip/tuck, body shaping, double-chin adjustments, image cut-outs, or digital art—we provide bespoke quotes.

Please note: we do not offer hair removal or digital shaving of the face.

WHY WE DON’T HELP YOU NARROW DOWN YOUR IMAGES FOR RETOUCHING

Many clients ask us to help select which images should be retouched. We cannot offer this service, and there’s a good reason: the photos are yours, not ours, and everyone’s tastes are different.

Our time is focused on photographing new clients, so to avoid disappointment, we encourage you to take your time choosing your favourite images.

PAYING INVOICES

For bookings over £795 + VAT, payment can be made within 30 days. For bookings under this amount, pre-payment is required and can be made via our online store. If paying by bank transfer, please include your invoice reference number.

CREDITS

If our images are used in publications and you’d like to give credit, please credit our website, not the individual photographer.
We work as a collective, so everyone on our team benefits from your kind acknowledgment.

EXCLUSIVE USAGE RIGHTS & LICENSING

The images you commission IMAGE 1ST (img 1st limited) to create, will be exclusively licensed to you so that any concern over how your images will be used at a later date is eliminated.

The licence we give you is valid for life and applicable worldwide. You can use our images across one or all media, print and digital, whichever is agreed upon quoting. We will not licence the same work to other customers.

FLEXIBLE LICENSING

You’re free to use our work on anything that is pre-agreed, this includes: websites, blog posts, social media, advertisements, marketing campaigns, corporate presentations, newspapers, magazines, books, film and television productions, web and mobile applications and product packaging.

COPYRIGHT

All copyright belongs to IMG 1ST LIMITED (IMAGE 1ST).

Our copyright is enshrined in law – in the UK, it is wrapped up in a piece of legislation titled the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 (or ‘CDPA 88’ for short). However, no additional fees will be added as long as our work is associated with the project we have invoiced for. If at a later date the images commissioned are used outside of the agreed arrangement, additional fees will apply at discounted rates.

CONFIDENTIALITY

During and after the photoshoot, we will not publicise the images we take for you on social media or our website. We will wait until an agreed time before the images can be used for our own PR, your images under our terms will never be sold for stock or licensed to another company.

The Website is provided by us without any warranties or guarantees. You must bear the risks associated with the use of the Internet. If we are informed of any inaccuracies in the material on The Website we will try to correct them as soon as we can.

In particular we are not liable to you for the following:

Incompatibility of The Website with any of your computer or telecommunications equipment or software.
Technical problems or errors or interruptions of The Website.
Inadequacy of The Website to meet your requirements.
To the full extent allowed by applicable law, you agree that we will not be liable to you or any third party for any consequential or incidental damages (included but not limited to loss of revenue, loss of profits, loss of anticipated savings, wasted expenditure, loss or privacy or loss of data) or any other indirect, special or punitive damages whatsoever that arise out of or are related to The Website.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or fraud.

We aim to deal with any questions in a fair, confidential, swift and effective way. They should be directed via e-mail and include full contact details in addition to your e-mail address together with order number where appropriate.

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time.

The changes will apply to the use of The Website after we have given notice. If you do not wish to accept the new Terms and Conditions you should not continue to use The Website. If you continue to use The Website after the date on which the change comes into effect, your use of The Website indicates your agreement to be bound by the new Terms and Conditions.

We are committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully in accordance with the Data Protection Act.

The information we hold will be accurate and up to date. You can check the information that we hold about you by emailing us. If you find any inaccuracies we will delete or correct it promptly. The personal information which we hold will be held securely in accordance with our internal security policy and the law.

If we intend to transfer your information outside the EEA (European Economic Area) we will always obtain your consent first. We may use technology to track the patterns of behaviour of visitors to our site. This can include using a "cookie" which would be stored on your browser. You can usually modify your browser to prevent this happening. The information collected in this way can be used to identify you unless you modify your browser settings.

We make no promise that materials on The Website are appropriate or available for use in locations outside the United Kingdom, and accessing The Website from territories where its contents are illegal or unlawful is prohibited. If you choose to access this site from locations outside the United Kingdom, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for compliance with local laws.

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and any disputes will be decided only by the English courts. Any contracts between you and us are concluded in English.

If any of these Terms and Conditions is held by any court of competent authority to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, in whole or in part, this will not affect the validity of the remaining Terms and Conditions which will continue to be valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.

If you breach these Terms and Conditions and we ignore this, we will still be entitled to use our rights and remedies at a later date or in any other situation where you breach the Terms and Conditions.

We shall not be liable for any breach of these Terms and Conditions beyond our reasonable control.

A person who is not a party to these Terms and Conditions shall have no right under the Contract (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to enforce any term of these Terms and Conditions but this shall not affect any right or remedy of a third party which exists or is available apart from that Act.

We are committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
